The demo rig lets you explore loadmate with a complete, sample setup before you enter any of your own details. You meet it on the setup screen right after you sign in, and you can come back to it any time. Tap through it freely to see how loadmate works, then add your own rig when you are ready. The demo numbers belong to the sample rig, so use them to learn the app rather than to make towing decisions about your own vehicle or trailer.
Start sample data
After you sign in and accept the legal documents, you land on a setup screen. If you have not added a vehicle yet, you choose between adding your own tow vehicle or exploring with sample data. Choose Explore with sample data to open a pre-built demo rig from your region.
The demo rig matches your region, so the vehicle, trailer, and terms look like your market rather than someone else’s. An Australian setup shows a tourer, a UK setup shows a caravanner’s rig, and a US setup shows a travel trailer.
What the demo lets you see
The demo is a complete, populated rig, so every screen works the same way it will once your own data is in. You can open each area and see real behaviour:
- The Rig Score and how it responds across the rig.
- Loads and where they sit across the vehicle and trailer.
- Tyre details for the demo vehicle and trailer.
- Maintenance records and what is scheduled.
- Warnings and attention items raised on the demo rig.
A demo banner sits above the score and names the rig you are exploring, so you always know you are looking at sample data and not your own setup.
The demo numbers belong to the sample rig. They do not describe your own vehicle or trailer, so use them to learn the app, not to judge a real load.
What stays read-only
The demo rig is read-only. You can tap through every screen, open every detail, and try every area without worrying about changing or breaking anything, because nothing you do is saved to the demo. This keeps the demo honest: what you see is what the product does.
Looking around the demo and using Can I Tow It? are free. Saving your own rig data is a Pro feature, so the first time you try to add or edit your own vehicle, trailer, loads, or history, an upgrade sheet appears. Pro is an annual subscription. If Pro later lapses, your saved data stays visible read-only. For a full breakdown of what is free and what needs Pro, see Free and Pro.
Move from demo to your own rig
When you are ready, leave the demo and start your own setup. Add your tow vehicle and trailer, then build out loads, tyres, and the rest from there. Your own data is saved and managed once you are set up, and the demo rig is not mixed into it.
